In a Heartrending Display, the Frail and Emaciated Cat, Barely Hanging onto Life, Summons its Last Shred of Strength to Beg for Assistance
Luckily, the ditch was dry, so the cat wasn’t wet. But if we hadn’t helped, it would have died there. The poor cat was extremely weak and exhausted. I took it to a nearby clean place and placed it on the ground. Its body was so emaciated that only skin covered its bones.
The cat tried to sit up, but it was very frail. It attempted to walk but stumbled and nearly fell several times. When we brought it to the hospital, the vet informed us that it had been suffering from severe diarrhea for about a week. It couldn’t eat anything and had constant bowel movements. The condition had become so severe that yellow fluid started flowing from its rectum. Its body was dehydrated and severely malnourished, and without timely treatment, it wouldn’t have survived.
Immediately, the cat was admitted to the hospital for treatment. Over the course of the following week, our hands were constantly attached to syringes, and the cat received numerous medications and nutrients to sustain its life. Fortunately, the cat made a miraculous recovery.
We decided to adopt the cat and named it Gluck. Currently, Gluck has turned two years old, and we just celebrated its birthday. Gluck has become an incredibly lovable and cherished member of our family.
